Jonathan Bradley: No freal this was so fucking bad I listened to “Donald Trump” when it was done, because I knew even that would be an improvement.

Edward Okulicz: The whining synth under the verses, the enormous echoey shudder of the beat and the neon colours of the chorus are impossible to dislike, though I can’t help but wish it had been applied to something with more guts or menace. As it is, a perfectly competent track cut off where the killer third verse is supposed to go. “Anything you need, you can find it at the market,” apparently. I look forward to a follow-up single that appropriates the centrepiece number from Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Mac.

Katherine St Asaph: If I hadn’t known this was Mac Miller, he of Wiz Khalifa endorsement and good intent, I’d totally have pegged it as a weekend’s joke like Whole Foods Parking Lot or, more regionally, “It’s Carrboro” (s/Frick Park/Weaver Street!) The production’s more triumphant, and Mac’s flow laps at a far less lonely island, but gimmicks are gimmicks.

Anthony Easton: He’s cute, and he raps quickly, but there isn’t much cleverness or sophisticated word play, or even effective narratives, here at all.

Brad Shoup: Analysis provided by the lab techs at RapGenius: “The song is really a metaphor; Mac Miller represents Frick Park Market (Pittsburgh, PA). Frick Park Market is fresh, local and just a cool spot to hang out. Mac’s fresh, cool, local to PA and just a cool guy to chill with. It’s only fitting Mac released this as his first single off Blue Slide Park. Hipsters are dumb and most people don’t like to be labeled as such. So instead Mac talks about how he can pleasure a girl. If you’re looking for some loving Mac’s there for you but just don’t open your mouth, he doesn’t want to hear you talk. Double entendre with comparing her stupid comments to holding in a big shit. Unlike his fellow Pittsburgher Wiz Khalifa, Mac doesn’t insist on joints. He’s willing to smoke joints, blunts — the whole shebang… He’s gunna give the listeners what they want to hear, not the boring lyrics, and that everyone can thank him later.”

Jonathan Bogart: Ha ha, okay, kid, good one. Run along now. Oh wait you’re serious. Police!
