Lethal Bizzle ft. Diztortion – Fester Skank
For inspiration.

Jessica Doyle: A shrug of a song, though I did laugh to hear “Old-school fella, Atari” followed soon after by a beat too well-rounded and clean to have been produced on anything before the Sega Dreamcast.

Micha Cavaseno: The More Fire Vampire strikes again. Diztortion crafts an boppity bit of ragga-tinged fidget house, while Lethal the B sneakily cribs Sneakbo’s flow on a more dignified chart snatcher tied to a goofy dance. It’s harmless, but Lethal’s pop sensibilities have always been nowhere as interesting as his smug attempts at grime dominance.

Scott Mildenhall: Lethal Bizzle deserves credit for building himself a role near the centre of the mainstream – the Soccer AMs, the Celebrity Juices; ITV2 if not ITV – but that doesn’t make this any more interesting. As with all things #DENCH, it will mean something to some people, and that is good. But when it doesn’t, and you have no investment in Bizzle, his feud with Fazer or simply Nando’s Chickenland Limited, it just exists.

Alfred Soto: Dub once removed and given a new motherboard. You can dance to it!

Will Adams: Despite the intriguing mashup of a stuttering vocal and electric guitar hits as sonic hooks, the short runtime turns it into an afterthought.

Mo Kim: I have been to more dances in the last week (#collegelyfe) than in the entirety of my entire life prior to last week. I say this because 1) my feet are still so, so incredibly sore and 2) even at 9 a.m., all I want to do after hearing “Fester Skank” is run on the grass and begin breaking it down. I’ll always have room in my heart for a sweet, boisterous slice of dancehall with a goofy streak. Rolling your eyes is a lot more fun on the floor than on the sidelines.

Dan MacRae: The Bizzle has never been more Lethal! (That’s not true, it’s just something that’s fun to exclaim like you’re holding stone tablets.) “Fester Skank” is essentially hospital soup masquerading as a dancefloor magnet.
[4]
Ramzi Awn: Another one for the keg party mix. “Fester Skank” would sound fine with a good buzz.
