Alfred Soto: This dude has gotten away with these feather-light tunes and lovely arpeggios for years. Ortiz and the Prince are beyond criticism. Don’t stop the dance.

Crystal Leww: I loved Prince Royce’s experiment with the English language market; I thought it was weird but kinda refreshing how much it played around with the sounds of EDM-pop even after EDM-pop 1.0 had died. “Moneda,” however, shows that Prince Royce has fully come back to the Spanish language market. He’s teamed up with Gerardo Ortiz here, and this is quiet, romantic, soft, and understated. The opposite of those fat synths, but still good.

Thomas Inskeep: Royce and Ortiz’s voices marry nicely on this pretty, sad bachata track.

Anthony Easton: Royce’s sweet, smooth and slightly flat voice makes a delightful ballad, saved from polite boredom by Orvitz’s adroit production.

Katie Gill: I enjoy how the first thirtyish seconds of this song are the guitar. It’s like “yeah, we know this is what you’re going to love and what the most impressive part about the song is, we’re going to start you off with just guitar city.” That’s not to decry the rest of the song, though. “Moneda” does exactly what it needs to: it’s a sweet, charming little ditty about a lost love with beautiful harmonies to compliment that beautiful guitar work.

Anjy Ou: Short but sweet, if lacking a little in the way of emotion. It’s a song about lost love, but it’s much more suited to dancing close with a new somebody and talking about something entirely unrelated.
